LiYA Reference Subwoofer Collection

Feel Every Note.
Experience Every Impact.

Engineered with high-excursion carbon-poly drivers, heavy-gauge reinforced enclosures, and closed-loop DSP amplification. LiYA active subwoofers relieve your main soundstage while delivering lightning-fast, physical infrasonic depth down to 16 Hz.

Why a Dedicated Subwoofer Matters

Low frequencies require exponential physical airflow that standard multi-way cabinets cannot recreate without distortion. A dedicated LiYA active subwoofer restores the lowest foundation of sound.

Deep, Controlled Bass

Piston Excursion Control

Stops boomy resonance. Produces instantaneous transient attack with micro-second start and stop control.

True Stereo Realism

Audiophile Timbre Accuracy

Reveals the natural acoustic decay of concert halls, grand pianos, upright acoustic bass, and electronic synthesizers.

Visceral Cinema Impact

115 dB Infrasonic Headroom

Delivers the physical tactile sensation of cinematic explosions, seismic scores, and thunderous Atmos effects.

Frees Main Speakers

Midrange IMD Reduction

Filtering 20Hz–80Hz off main bookshelf or tower speakers eliminates cone strain, clarifying midrange vocals.

Subwoofer P-s10
INTERACTIVE ACOUSTIC ANALYSIS

System Low-End Extension with & without LiYA

16 Hz (Tactile)
40 Hz (Kick Thump)
80 Hz (Crossover)
200 Hz (Mid-Bass)
1 kHz (Vocals)

Full-Spectrum Flat Extension Active: The LiYA P-S10 delivers subterranean pressure down to 18 Hz with flat energy, relieving mid-bass drivers and increasing dynamic ceiling.

The LiYA HiFi Subwoofer Range

From intimate audiophile stereo setups to dedicated reference-level Dolby Atmos screening rooms.

Not Just More Bass.
Better Bass.

Inferior subwoofers mistake muddy volume for true extension. LiYA engineering prioritizes transient speed: the cone stops the exact microsecond the note ends. That means crisp acoustic basslines, articulate cellos, and explosive film dynamics with zero hangover.

“From the First Whisper
to the Deepest Impact.”

Experience film soundtracks precisely as Hollywood sound directors intended on dubbing stages. From the eerie subsonic creak of a submarine hull to bone-rattling seismic collisions, LiYA subwoofers ground your cinema with uncompromised truth.

What does a subwoofer do that full range speaker cannot?
A subwoofer is engineered exclusively for long low-frequency wavelengths (16Hz to 120Hz). Producing these waves cleanly requires high driver excursion and significant air displacement. By assigning this load to an active LiYA subwoofer with discrete high-current amplification, your main speakers are freed from bass strain, drastically lowering midrange intermodulation distortion and clarifying vocals.
Do i need subwoofer if i already own large floorstanding speakers?
Yes. While floorstanding tower speakers often advertise response down to 35Hz, they struggle to produce the physical 16Hz–30Hz octave without dynamic compression. Furthermore, the optimal speaker position for sharp stereo imaging is rarely the acoustically ideal position for smooth bass waves. A subwoofer allows independent room tuning.
How many subwoofers do i need for my room?
While one LiYA subwoofer provides sufficient power for most medium-sized rooms, installing two subwoofers (e.g., dual diagonal placement) cancels out acoustic room modes (bass nulls and boomy peaks). This guarantees smooth, uniform bass response across all seating positions and adds +3 to +6 dB of effortless dynamic headroom.
Where is the best place to position my subwoofer?
For musical accuracy, placing the subwoofer along the front stage between your left and right speakers provides the cleanest impulse timing. For maximum bass efficiency, corner placement provides up to +6dB of acoustic boundary gain. We recommend using our interactive 2D placement visualizer above to select the ideal spot for your room dimensions.
Is a subwoofer mandatory for Dolby Atmos soundtracks?
Yes. Dolby Atmos recordings feature a dedicated Low Frequency Effects (.1 LFE) track designed to play through a subwoofer. Without a subwoofer, your AV processor must fold these intense low frequencies into your satellite channels, risking severe cone distortion during major movie peaks.
What size subwoofer is right for my listning space?
For compact rooms (under 250 sq. ft.), the sealed LiYA P-S8 (8") offers rapid speed without over-pressurization. For medium rooms (250–550 sq. ft.), the P-S10 (10") is the ideal audiophile reference. For large open areas or dedicated home theaters, the P-S12 (12") or P-S15 (15") provides the necessary acoustic output.
Can i use a subwoofer for 2-channel stereo music listening?
Absolutely. LiYA subwoofers are specifically tuned with low group delay and high transient recovery. With continuous 0°–180° variable phase control and high-level speaker inputs, the sub integrates seamlessly into high-end stereo setups without adding lag or localized boom.
What is diffrencr between active and passive subwoofers?
An active subwoofer contains its own built-in amplifier, DSP crossover filters, and limiter circuitry calibrated to the exact physical impedance curve of its driver. A passive subwoofer requires an external amplifier. All LiYA subwoofers are active designs equipped with custom discrete Class-D power.
